Federal report on Baylor Title IX compliance outlines delays, improvements since 2016

A federal report offers new insight into persistent issues with Baylor University’s handling of Title IX complaints of sex-based discrimination as late as 2020, particularly those involving student-athletes, and the school’s efforts to improve its processes.

The findings by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights cover the university’s compliance with Title IX between 2014 and 2020, identifying delays, conflicts of interest and improper case management despite prior efforts to reform.
