RESULTS: 2024 NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Stroke Play #4

Monday marked the final event of the 2024 NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series before the 2024 Tour Championship. All players who were near the top fifteen in season-long points came to Catawba Island Club in a last-ditch effort to claim their spot at Firestone.

In his second Great Lakes Auto Scratch event of the season, Matthew Fuller was able to come away with a one stroke victory. In both of his appearances this season Fuller has finished in the top two. The Toledo University Golf alumni was able to put together a bogey-free round that included three birdies. His 69 would be the low round of the day in both divisions.

Robert Schustrich, co-leader of the Senior Division

The day’s final grouping in the Senior Division featured all three of the top three finishers in the Senior Division. Allen Freeman, Robert Schustrich, and Marc Fried all went out together as the 11:20am starting time, and battled each other all day to claim the low rounds of the day in the Senior Division. Freeman would birdie the group’s 17th hole to head into the 18th tied with Schustrich. The two would match each other on the final hole to finish T1 at one-over par.

With this final Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series event of the season, the NOGA Player of the Year points list will be finalized later this week, and invitations to the NOGA Tour Championship at Firestone Country Club on Sunday, September 8 and Monday, September 9 will be sent.
