Defensive End Ebenezer Ewetade Commits To Notre Dame

Notre Dame has added a massive pickup to its 2026 class by landing a commitment from Garner (S.C.) South Garner standout defensive end Ebenezer Ewetade . Notre Dame beat Georgia, Alabama, Florida State and NC State to land this very important commitment.

Notre Dame went into the class looking to land impact edge rushers and Ewetade fits that bill. As a junior the South Garner standout not only dominated on the field he also earned a captain role. He finished his junior campaign with 82 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and five forced fumbles.

The 6-4, 225-pound defensive end is the kind of explosive edge rusher that Notre Dame wants to add a lot more of to the roster. Ewetade is exceptionally long and possesses a lightning quick first step. He explodes off the edge, has top notch closing speed and shows the athletic talent to dominate as a pass rusher. He’ll need to fill out, but Ewetade is a strong young athlete and as he fills out he has the tools to be a highly effective run defender as well…
