RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A dog named Rosa, who recently gave birth to eight puppies of her own, became mother to two more without an ounce of hesitation.
The Raleigh-based dog rescue Perfectly Imperfect Pups sent in video to CBS 17 after the heartfelt exchange took place. Founder of the rescue, Nicole Kincaid, said no one could have predicted “the powerful story of love and motherhood” that unfolded just one week after Rosa arrived at their door pregnant.

Rosa had been rescued from a rural shelter and gave birth to eight healthy puppies in the safety and comfort of her foster home through PIPs. That was going to be the extent of her story … or so the rescue team thought.
An urgent call came in, making them aware of four orphaned puppies who had been rejected by their own mother and “were in desperate need of help.” With resources stretched thin, PIPs was able to help by taking in two of them while the other two went to another rescue …
