RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina State University student is accused of embezzling nearly $15,000 from a student organization.
Court documents say Khiara Dargan “did embezzle and corruptly use and misapply” funds belonging to the North Carolina State University African American Textile Society. She transferred the funds to “her personal bank account for personal use.”
Dargan was arrested on March 25 and is facing multiple charges, including embezzlement, obtaining property by false pretense, and two counts of identity theft. She was released later that day on a $15,000 bond…
