The town of Wake Forest is making strides in infrastructure refurbishment with its ongoing 2025 Road Resurfacing Project. Launched earlier this year, it encompasses a major overhaul of over 60 streets and roadways, not limiting to concrete work that kicked off in February. With asphalt work expected to commence in June, the scope of the project includes full depth patching, necessary roadway repairs, repaving, and updates to curb and gutter systems.
Residents in the area can expect to see significant activity, beginning today. Fulford & Jones, a subcontractor hired by Blythe Construction for this initiative, are set to start their concrete work weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on streets such as Borage Drive, Comphery Court, and several others. Notably, these updates also involve replacing existing black ADA ramps with yellow mats to align with national standards.
Those living on the affected streets will not miss the notice, as they’ll be informed well in advance via door hangers about the upcoming work. It’s key for them to note that parking will be strictly prohibited along the streets during work hours.
