WASHINGTON (7News) — A community recently rocked by a homicide near an elementary schoolheld a meeting with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Thursday night to sound off with their concerns regarding their safety.
On Oct. 8, MPD officers responded to a shooting on the 900 block of 7th Street, Northeast, and found Delonte Smith, 39, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
