Man admits to wire fraud at Lowe’s and other retail companies in West Virginia

WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Leroy Artemus Tolbert, III, 35, of Brownstown, Michigan, has pled guilty to wire fraud charges, admitting his role in a scheme to defraud Lowe’s Companies, Inc., and several retail locations across multiple states.

Court documents reveal that Tolbert conspired with others to fraudulently apply for Lowe’s credit cards under a company name, using someone else’s identity as an authorized user.

He used these cards to purchase thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise at Lowe’s stores in Wheeling and Morgantown, West Virginia, as well as in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
