Police seize $443,000 of contraband potentially being smuggled into U.P. prison

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI – Two people, including a corrections officer, have been arrested after police say they tried to smuggle drugs into an Upper Peninsula prison.

Andre Taylor, 59 from Clinton Township, and Edward King, 57 from Detroit, were arraigned in the 91st District Court this week for allegedly attempting to smuggle illegal contraband into Kincross Correctional Facility, according to Michigan State Police.
