Police reports 11/3-11/10

The University of Rhode Island Police responded to a vehicle accident resulting in the hospitalization of a pedestrian, made an arrest on domestic violence charges and responded to harassment calls during the week of Nov. 4 through Nov. 10.

Felix Okwesa, 22, was arrested at Burnside Hall on charges of domestic violence on Tuesday, Nov. 5, including disorderly conduct and simple assault. Three officers arrived on the scene at 8:14 p.m., not clearing the scene until two hours later at 10:14 p.m.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the intersection of Lower College Road and Campus Avenue on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 6. The pedestrian was subsequently taken to Rhode Island Hospital and the incident remains under investigation, according to Dawn Bergantino, a University of Rhode Island public information officer.
