WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A D.C. restaurant and hookah bar is telling some patrons they prefer to serve a more mature audience, as a means to respond to complaints of recent crime involving young people.
Along a busy 8th Street commercial corridor in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the general manager of Cafe 8 Mediterranean Eatery admits that staff would prefer customers over the age of 30.
“We have certain instances where we have to call 911, and we just want to do our part as much … as we can,” General Manager Christopher Wright told DC News Now on Wednesday.
