(Des Moines) According to AAA, the price of regular unleaded gasoline fell nine cents this week to an average of $2.97 across Iowa and 87 cents lower than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.22, down 3 cents from last week’s price.
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $4.87 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $70.69. Brent crude oil rose by $3.91 and is currently priced at $73.14. WTI crude was sold for $91.48 a year ago, and Brent crude was at $95.95.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell five cents this week to a statewide average of $3.34. One year ago, the average was $4.34. The current Iowa diesel price is 26 cents lower than the national average of $3.60…
