Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has extended a proclamation allowing heavier loads for Iowa farmers. The decision, effective immediately, runs through Feb. 6, 2025.
Trucks carrying corn, soybeans, hay, silage, manure and fertilizer can now exceed normal weight limits, up to 90,000 pounds, without a special permit. This move aims to ease transportation during the busy farming season.
