GRUNDY CENTER — A lockdown defense and a balanced scoring effort powered the Grundy Center girls’ basketball team to a 61-40 victory over New Hampton on Tuesday night.
The Spartans held visiting New Hampton (1-5) to single-digit scoring in two periods, highlighted by a 21-3 first-quarter advantage.
