GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy Center girls’ basketball team pounced on Sumner-Fredericksburg and finished off the Cougars for a 43-22 win in Friday’s cross-NICL contest.
The Spartans (7-4) jumped out to a 19-9 lead after the opening quarter, led 23-15 at the half and held Sumner-Fredericksburg (3-7) to just seven points after the intermission.
Karlee Lynch led three scorers in double figures for Grundy Center, netting 14 points. Kali Aldrich added 12 points and Raelyn Steinmeyer made three 3-pointers on her way to 11 points…
