Jedd Fisch’s message to his team was summed up in one word: strain.
Coming off a disappointing rivalry loss and with conference play looming, the Washington coach and his staff told the team it had to push itself to its limits to ensure the discipline and effort from practice translated to game day.
“We talked about process all week long,” Fisch said. “And we kept emphasizing to the team, ‘Guys, this is all new to all of us. We’re all here for the first time together.’ We had very few people on the team who ever played together before, and we’re going to continue to improve each time.”…
