I’ll be the first to admit that golfing isn’t my thing. There are three reasons why. It takes way too long and I don’t have the patience. The cost has skyrocketed. Finally, the most important reason, I suck at it. I have plenty of friends that love playing and I’m cool with that as long as they don’t include me.
I used to golf a lot back in my younger partying days. Honestly, it was never really about the game itself. It was hanging out with buddies and drinking beer. Think about this, if you told your significant other you were going to a bar all day with your friends to get drunk, what would they say? Of course, the response would be no you’re not.
Now, tell your better half that you’re playing in a charity golf playday. Guess what, you’ll get the green light every time. Then you end up drinking beer with your buddies all day. Oh yeah, it’s for a good cause. Also, you’re getting exercise. Trust me, it works.
