Itasca, IL – An Illinois State Police (ISP) trooper’s squad car was struck on Interstate 290 in DuPage County early Wednesday when a driver failed to move over, marking the fourth ISP crash related to Scott’s Law in 2025.
According to Illinois State Police, the incident occurred around 8:18 a.m. on the westbound ramp to Illinois 390 in Itasca. The trooper was handling a separate traffic crash and was seated inside their parked squad car with emergency lights activated when a Saturn Vue rear-ended the vehicle.
The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Saturn, identified as 44-year-old Teresa Muro of Glen Ellyn, was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries…
