OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington Department of Ecology plans to continue its implementation of electric school buses across the state in 2025, with more than 200 in total expected to be on the road by 2026.
As of the Dec. 2024, there are 86 electric buses in the state spread across 40 school districts.
Through $31.5 million from the Climate Commitment Act and other sources, $3.9 million from the Inflation Reduction Act and orders from earlier grants, an additional 124 zero-emission buses will be active…
