Shelters reaching capacity as cold weather hits Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The frigid temperatures have organizations working hard to help those who don’t have a place to stay.

Hillsborough County’s cold weather shelters will be open nights, from Wednesday, Jan. 22, through Friday night, Jan. 24.

It’s been a record-breaking week for Hillsborough County. Not only are cold weather shelters open more than they’ve ever been, but they’re reaching capacity.
