DA offers $5,000 reward for info on man accused of involuntary manslaughter in death of son

NORRISTOWN, Pa. – Authorities in Montgomery County have announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of his son.

Vernon Hatchett (who is also known as Khaliyl Ward), 39, of Glenside, is charged with neglect of a care-dependent person, a first-degree felony, and other charges related to the death of his son, 21-year-old Tylim Hatchett, who died from neglect in September 2024, according to a news release from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Hatchett is five-foot-10 and weighs 190 pounds, the DA’s office said…
