New Britain man fled state police after being clocked going 100 mph on I-91 in Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — State police say a New Britain man was arrested after allegedly driving over 100 mph on Interstate 91 Monday evening.

21-year-old Gary Fuentes was charged with reckless driving, disobeying signal of an officer, passing on the right, failure to maintain proper lane- limited access highway, making an improper turn, interfering with an officer/resisting, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The charges stem from around 6 p.m. Monday, when a trooper was conducting speed enforcement on I-91 northbound in the area of Exit 24. It was then the trooper noticed a gray Volkswagen sedan driving well over the 65 mph speed limit.
