The North Haven High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Abrielle Osborne as the new head coach for the Greater New Haven (GNH) Co-op boys’ swimming and diving team. This co-op team includes student-athletes from the high schools in East Haven, Guilford, North Branford, and North Haven (the host school).
A North Haven native, Osborne served as assistant coach for GNH in the 2023-2024 winter season and coached the Sheehan girls’ team this past fall season. Osborne began coaching as a volunteer with the Special Olympics in Milford and has coached at Amity Regional Aquatic Club, Hamden Hall Aquatic Club, and continues with the Special Olympics as Head Coach. Additionally, Osborne swam competitively at North Haven High School and has been involved in USA Club Swimming since a very young age.
North Haven Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal stated, “We are very excited to have Coach Osborne to lead our Greater New Haven Swim/Dive Co-op Program. Coach Osborne has the energy and knowledge to motivate our swimmers and divers to continue the program’s success.”…
