Bristol officer justified in firing at woman in police department lobby, inspector general finds

BRISTOL, CT (WFSB) – A police officer who fired at a woman inside of the Bristol Police Department lobby was found to be justified in his actions.

The Office of the Inspector General said that Bristol Officer Spencer Boisvert was responding to deadly force from Suzanne Laprise on Oct. 5, 2023.

Laprise parked her vehicle in front of the department on North Main Street around 11:40 p.m.
