SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A semi-truck crash ignited a fire in Parleys Canyon on Sunday morning, resulting in two passengers being injured.
The Utah Department of Transportation reported the incident at 7:22 a.m. on Oct. 27, near the I-80 South Quarry.
Unified Fire authorities stated that a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on I-80 near milepost 130, around the South Quarry in Parleys Canyon. Shortly before 7:20 a.m., the semi-driver left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the concrete barrier. The truck became fully engulfed.
