Identity released of 81-year-old duck hunter who drowned in Great Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Authorities have identified the 81-year-old man who drowned Tuesday evening while duck hunting in the marshes of the Great Salt Lake.

Utah County Sheriff’s deputies reported that Kenneth Hill, 81, was hunting with Vince Badger, 70, and Hill’s dog in the Duck Marsh area of the Great Salt Lake on Oct. 22. Both men were out of the boat collecting duck decoys when Badger noticed Hill face down in the water.

Officials said Badger was able to bring Hill to a nearby island, where he attempted CPR…
