MIAMI – Gregory Yearty, Jr., was 16 years old when deputies accused him of stealing a car in Palm Beach County and again a few days after he turned 17. Deputies also accused him of a burglary at 18, and by the time he was 19, he was a convicted felon.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Yearty was in prison for nearly six months in 2019 and from June 14, 2021, to Nov. 1, 2022. Records show he was back behind bars Wednesday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County.

Detectives identified Yearty as the gunman who fled in a gray Lamborghini Urus after two valet attendants working for a restaurant caught him trying to steal a black Rolls Royce sports utility vehicle on Sept. 26, along First Street in South Beach, police said…
