PARKLAND, FL- The Florida Department of Transportation has released an update on the expected reopening of the stretch of Loxahatchee Road between University Drive and Parkside Drive. The road will be closed through at least December 6, 2024, with reopening to occur as quickly as possible after that date, or as early as December 13, 2024.
In a statement released on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, FDOT said the following:
“LOXAHATCHEE ROAD WILL BE CLOSED THROUGH FRIDAY, DEC. 6, 2024. To ensure community and crew safety as we work to enhance the roadway and provide a safer and more resilient infrastructure, Loxahatchee Road from SR 817/N University Drive to Parkside Drive is closed through Friday, Dec. 6, 2024. This full closure was implemented on Oct. 30, 2023 and traffic will continue to be detoured via SR 817/N University Drive, Holmberg Road, and Parkside Drive. Local access to businesses and residential properties along Loxahatchee Road between SR 817/N University Drive and Parkside Drive will be maintained at all times throughout construction. If weather or unforeseen circumstances arise, Loxahatchee Road will reopen by Friday, Dec. 13, 2024.”…
