A tragic incident unfolded yesterday afternoon near the Short North Kroger in Columbus’s University District, resulting in the death of a 51-year-old man. Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua confirmed that the man, identified as Paul Allgood, succumbed to his injuries after being shot close to the corner of North High Street and Clark Place. The police were alerted to the occurrence just before 2:40 p.m., and Allgood was later pronounced dead at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center at approximately 4:25 p.m., as reported by The Dispatch.
