Authorities in Baltimore have apprehended a suspect in connection with a late-September homicide that left a man dead from multiple gunshot wounds. On Saturday, according to a post by Baltimore Police, 31-year-old Uriah Cunningham was taken into custody by Central District officers and is facing charges in the killing of 43-year-old Melvin Rogers.

The initial incident occurred last Tuesday when Shot Spotter technology alerted officers to gunfire in the 1800 block of Wilhelm Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Rogers suffering from his injuries. Despite being quickly transported to the hospital, Rogers was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
