Dundalk Man Charged in 2024 East Biddle Street Homicide in Baltimore

A Dundalk man has been taken into custody for the shooting death of another man almost a year prior, in an incident dating back to March 2024, as per the Baltimore Police Department. Derrell Goines, 35, faces charges in the deadly shooting of 35-year-old Alvin Raymond Henry Jr., following what authorities believe was a dispute on the 1400 block of East Biddle Street, Shore News Network reported.

Police were initially summoned to the scene by a seven-round ShotSpotter alert, where they found Henry with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, according to charging documents cited by the local source; meanwhile, detectives analyzed surveillance footage and ballistic evidence, and Goines was still at the scene when officers arrived to find him wearing body-worn camera footage capturing an image that would later pinpoint him as a suspect.

In an extensive investigation, the collected video footage showed the attacker stowing a gun in his pants and fleeing in a black 2017 Acura MDX, as indicated by footage from the Madison Square Recreation Center across the street from the shooting location. Further inquiry led to a search and seizure warrant executed in October 2024 on Goines’ vehicle.
