The combined water levels of lakes Arrowhead and Kickapoo fell below 65 percent on Monday, meaning Wichita Falls water customers are under water usage restrictions once again.
The drop in the lakes automatically triggered a Stage 1 Drought Watch, which primarily affects outdoor watering for residents.
It means that:
- Even numbered addresses can only water on Monday and Thursday.
- Odd numbered addresses can only water on Tuesday and Friday.
- The allowed watering on the designated days are from midnight to 10 a.m. or 7 p.m. to midnight.
- Hand-held hose, soaker and dripper irrigation are exempt from the above restrictions.
