Members of GFWC West Side recently held their annual Holiday Party at The Gallery at Pierce Plaza, Kingston, and completed the collection drive for the Keystone Mission Innovation Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Club members were asked to open their hearts at Christmas to help the homeless. The donations of more than 500 suggested items of seasonal clothing, bathing necessities, and winter accessories were presented to Sharon Cupp, Keystone Mission program coordinator, on Dec. 23, in advance of the Christmas Dinner.
The Innovation Center is now the overnight shelter for individuals facing homelessness from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and the 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. place for guest services such as showering, laundry and needed clothing items.
