SCRANTON — A city woman arrested last month on charges of involuntary manslaughter waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday to face charges in county court.

Christine Hessmiller, 39, of 2051 Rigg St., allegedly attacked Gary Porter, 81, the evening of Aug. 27. Both were custodians contracted by the Dunmore School District.
