‘Paint the Plow’ brings life to PennDOT trucks

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Plow trucks aren’t a rare sighting this time of year. A few plows, however, have a little spice to them, with a message to drivers.

Hanover Area seniors Jeyson Torres and Tasha Kelly, along with teacher Kelly Alansky, admire the plow that they designed and painted as part of PennDOT District 4’s Paint the Plow program.

“A lot of brainstorming. Even while we were painting it, we were thinking we were almost done and we were like, ‘oh, what if we added this or this,” says Torres.

The plow has definitely seen better days as snow and ice chipped away at the finished product – but the beautiful design took nearly a month to complete back in September…
