Carol M. Pittenger, 86, of Muncy, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Spring Mills.
She was born Dec. 10, 1938 in Liberty, the daughter of the late William F. and Dorothy M. (Loudenslager) Cropp. On Nov. 26, 1959, she married Harley R. Pittenger, who predeceased her on April 2, 2023. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Carol was a 1956 graduate of Liberty High School and 1960 graduate of Lycoming College. She worked as a fourth grade teacher at the old Pennsdale School until it closed. Carol then worked at Muncy’s Ward L. Myers Elementary school, where she retired from in 1993…
