The 2024 fall high school sports season is officially in full swing as football became the final sport to begin first competitions last Friday.
Every Monday the StarNews Athlete of the Week poll will highlight Wilmington-area athletes who shined bright during the previous week of athletic events. Fans will then have until 11:59 p.m. each Wednesday to submit their votes. Results will be revealed every Thursday.
