Before performing Thursday at a rally with Democratic vice-presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz, Grammy winner James Taylor made sure to tell the crowd what it means to be a Democrat.
“My father was a true-blue Democrat always,” Taylor said. “He welcomed passionately the Civil Rights Act and he stayed blue. When we lived here, he had a sense that North Carolina was a place … that happily engages with the challenges we have, and I think that is so represented by everybody that is here tonight.”
