Chargers run at adidas XC Challenge

CARY — A pared-down Wilson Christian boys cross-country team returned to WakeMed Soccer Park for the second time this season with all three high school runners producing faster times.

Competing in the Boys Challenge 5K race, Chargers junior Connor Ford finished 20th out of 255 runners in 17 minutes while Alexander Herndon was 60th in 18:53.5 and Samuel Herndon placed 85th in 19:17.5. All three WCA runners posted faster times than their showing at the Early Bird run Aug. 17 at WakeMed.

West Johnston’s Warner Clark won the race in 16:11.13…
