COCKE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Mountain Ways Foundation will soon open applications to provide assistance to people in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina who lost their primary home after Hurricane Helene caused devastating flooding in the region.
Mountain Ways said the assistance is available to homeowners or renters who suffered a total loss of their primary residence due to flooding during Helene.
“The launch of our relief and recovery assistance activates our first steps toward helping our neighbors in Tennessee and Western North Carolina,” said Lori Moore, Executive Director of Mountain Ways. “Our objective is to ensure that 100% of funds raised are going directly to survivors of the affected communities who need it most.”…
