UGA sets record with three Schwarzman Scholars

After setting the record for having three Schwarzman Scholars within a single year, the students from the University of Georgia will have the opportunity to study abroad for a higher level of education.

Aryan Thakur, Amanda Whylie, and Garrett Williams all have been named Schwarzman Scholars. These recipients will travel abroad and will have the opportunity to pursue a one-year master’s degree in global affairs.

These students will attend Tsinghua University in Beijing, China starting in August of this year. The Schwarzman Scholars for the incoming Class of 2026 were selected from a pool of nearly 5,000 applicants…
