GREENSBORO, N.C. — WFMY News 2’s Eric Chilton will end a decades-long career in TV News come Friday, Nov. 8. Chilton has become a fixture in the homes of WFMY News 2 viewers for several years. Viewers have seen him do it all – from forecasting the weather, anchoring the news, and interviewing key figures in our community.
Chilton will take on the new role of Greensboro’s Strategic & Crisis Communications Manager, effective November 13. Known for his versatility in roles from weather forecasting to news anchoring, Chilton retires from broadcast news after 36 years, with 28 of those spent in the Piedmont Triad.
