FROSTPROOF, Fla. (WFLA) — A search was launched Thursday after the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a man was found with a gunshot wound.
Deputies said the shooting happened around 6:35 p.m. on Garrison Lane in Frostproof.

The victim, described only as an adult man, was taken to a local hospital. Authorities said he appeared to have been shot once.
