PulteGroup breaks ground on mortgage-free home for wounded veteran

PulteGroup’s Northeast Florida Division has officially broken ground on a new mortgage-free home for U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Antwian Cooper, a two-time Purple Heart recipient, at the Centex community of Wells Landing. For more than a decade, PulteGroup, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has donated new homes to veterans injured during their service and their families through its Built to Honor® Program.

Cooper received the life-changing news in October that he had been selected as the newest recipient of a Built to Honor home and this build marks the fourth home dedicated in Northeast Florida through the program.

“It is truly a privilege for our team to build this home for Sergeant Cooper and thank him for his bravery and service to our country,” said Justin Cook, PulteGroup’s Northeast Florida Division president. “Wells Landing is the perfect place for the Cooper family to call home. We are honored to build a home for Antwian and his family that is fully accessible and will improve his quality of life.”…
