3 hurt in crash caused by slick roadway in Prince William County

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Crews were cleaning up a slick roadway in Dumfries that had caused a crash on Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:22 p.m., the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said officials were investigating a crash near mile marker 20 on Joplin Road.

A spokesman for the department said a car crashed due to oil or a slick substance in the roadway. The three people in the car sustained minor injuries.

PWCPD advised the road would be closed for several hours in both directions for cleanup to prevent any further issues…
