PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Virginia transportation officials and private company Transurban cut the ribbon Thursday morning on a new on-ramp to the Interstate 95 North express lanes near Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge.
The new on-ramp was a $70 million project. The project will allow vehicles to get off at Opitz Boulevard if you’re traveling northbound on the express lanes in the mornings and in the evening, motorists can go from Opitz Boulevard to the southbound express lanes.
“The Opitz Boulevard Project is a great example of Transurban’s commitment to improving mobility in collaboration with our partners at VDOT,” said Beau Memory, President of Transurban North America. “We are always looking for more ways to provide faster, more reliable trips—Consistently enhancing and innovating along our roads is one way we build connections throughout our communities—Opitz being the fourth on the 95 Express Lanes since opening in 2014.”…
