Leftover showers on the west slope of the Sierra will fizzle out Thursday evening. Friday begins a stretch of dry and very warm weather across Northern California.
Friday will start with Valley temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Sunshine and a light north breeze will warm things up for the afternoon. Downtown Sacramento will reach the low 90s. Foothills communities will have afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
The Sierra will stay dry Friday and beyond. High temperatures around Lake Tahoe will reach to low 70s for the next few days…
