Purina and University of California Davis Partner to Enhance Veterinary Urology Research and Care

A new collaboration between Purina and the University of California, Davis, aims to advance the understanding and treatment of urinary conditions in dogs and cats. With a significant grant of nearly $1 million over the next five years from Nestlé Purina PetCare, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine’s G.V. Ling Urinary Stone Analysis Laboratory (USAL) will receive support to provide free urinary stone analysis results to veterinarians and their patients.

This partnership will focus on exploring how diet, environmental, and patient factors impact urinary health in companion animals. The grant will enable USAL to offer free analyses and consultations for up to 800 new stone submissions annually, which will help veterinarians diagnose and manage urinary diseases more effectively.
