What to know about Sacramento’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day march

(FOX40.COM) — Participants in Sacramento’s 43rd annual March for the Dream on Monday will have the option of joining the main march or walking an extra stretch that will then join the main march.

According to the organizer’s website, the march, which takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, will officially begin at 9 a.m. at Hughes Stadium on Sacramento City College’s campus with a program.

After the program, participants will walk down Sutterville Road to Freeport Boulevard. Freeport Boulevard will begin a loop that will see marchers turn down 13th Avenue, then Land Park Drive, then Broadway and then back onto Freeport Boulevard.

Marchers will then return to Sacramento City College via Sutterville Road. The march is approximately 4.3 miles long…
