Akron community leaders respond to forceful arrest of Firestone High School student

A variety of public figures in Akron reacted to the incident at Firestone High School in which a school resource officer punched a 16-year-old student in the head three times after police say he evaded metal detectors.

Opinions varied from supporting the involved officers and backing Akron Police Chief Brian Harding to calling for police reform and urging police officers be pulled from Akron Public School properties.
